The Lawrence History Center has been collecting and preserving documents and artifacts since 1978, striving to preserve the rich traditions of one of the country's first planned industrial towns. Visitors and researchers can peruse thousands of old photos, plus records from local businesses and hundreds of oral histories from citizens dating back to the early 19th century. Located downtown, the center is only a few blocks east of Campagnone Common.
