Lawrence was one of America's first planned industrial cities, a distinction that comes to life in Lawrence Heritage State Park's two floors of interactive exhibits. Visitors can learn about the history of the town's mill workers, including their role in the Great Strike of 1912, and study the chronologies of more than 30 immigrant populations that came to the area. Two nearby riverside parks offer fishing, boating, tennis, hiking and other recreational pursuits. The park lies near downtown Lawrence, a couple blocks south of Campagnone Common.
Open daily, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
